About us
Aimee and Victor first met while working together at American Kitchen in Lafayette in 2015, where they discovered a shared passion for hospitality, great food, and creating meaningful connections with their guests. After years of working side by side and building their vision, they proudly opened Millie's American Kitchen in 2021, bringing their experience, dedication, and love for the community into a restaurant of their own.
Aimee is a Lafayette native who has deep roots in the Lamorinda community. Over the years, she has had the privilege of serving and getting to know local families across multiple generations. Today, she is delighted to welcome grandparents, parents, and children through the doors of Millie's, often recognizing familiar faces and celebrating special family milestones alongside them.
Victor grew up in Canada before moving to Lamorinda in 1981. In addition to his work in hospitality, he spent many years coaching local swimmers, mentoring thousands of young athletes throughout the area. As a result, he has developed lifelong relationships with many families and now enjoys seeing former swimmers return as adults with families of their own. His strong ties to the community and commitment to supporting local youth have made him a familiar and trusted figure throughout Lamorinda.
Together, Aimee and Victor combine their unique backgrounds, complementary strengths, and shared commitment to exceptional service to create a warm and welcoming dining experience. They are passionate advocates for local businesses and believe that strong community connections are at the heart of a thriving neighborhood. Through Millie's American Kitchen, they strive to provide not only great food and hospitality, but also a gathering place where friends, families, and neighbors can come together and feel at home.
